2017 Full Moon Poster and Free Printable!

by | Dec 14, 2016 | Wild Activities | 2 comments

It seems impossible that Wednesday marked the last full moon of 2016. With the help of our 2016 full moon printable, the moon was our near constant companion. Tuning into and celebrating its phases has been transformative, moving us ever-closer to nature and her rhythms. The great news about this upcoming year is that we get to do it all over again!

I’m so thrilled to offer a brand new, FREE 2017 full moon printable, and an original piece of artwork (16 x 16) perfect for displaying in your home or classroom. Whatever route you choose, I would love for you to come along with us as we take this journey again.

Both the printable and the poster feature the names and dates of all the full moons for 2017. The names first appeared in The Maine Farmers’ Almanac in the 1930s, and were said to be rooted in Native American traditions. Each name speaks to timely seasonal shifts or events, and serves as a powerful way for us to reflect on our own lives.
